Privacy Policy

SourceForMe is a free supplier search tool operated by Fors Global FZE, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the data described below. There are no accounts: you can use the tool without giving us your name or email.

Please do not enter confidential or personal data into the search. Describe the item you need, not your company secrets or personal details.

What we collect

  • Your search. The request you type and your answers to the follow-up questions (item, specifications, quantity, location, deadline) and the results we return.
  • Feedback and clicks. Thumbs up/down, feedback forms, and which buttons you use (for example Export to Excel, Outlook, Gmail, Copy, supplier links, the daily-limit dialog).
  • Technical data. Your IP address is used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Our application stores only a hashed form of your IP address. Our hosting and security providers (Vercel, Cloudflare) may process your IP address in their own logs.
  • Usage statistics. Page views and basic performance data through Vercel Analytics.

Cookies

  • psa_vid — a random visitor ID, kept for 365 days from when it is first set. It counts your daily searches (3 per day).
  • psa_human — a signed token that records that your browser passed the human check, kept for 24 hours.

Both are strictly necessary to run the free service and protect it from abuse. They are not used for advertising.

Who processes your data

  • Anthropic (Claude) processes your search text and answers to understand the request and rank results.
  • Brave Search and Google Places receive search queries derived from your request to find suppliers.
  • Google Sheets (Google Workspace) stores our log of searches, events and feedback.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a visitor is human. It sees your browser and IP address.
  • Upstash stores search counters and budget counters (keyed by the visitor ID and the hashed IP).
  • Vercel hosts the website and provides Vercel Analytics.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies, and may do so outside the UAE.

Why we use it

To run the search, enforce the daily limit and our monthly budget, prevent abuse, measure whether the tool is useful, and improve the results. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Search logs, events and feedback are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted or anonymised. Rate-limit counters expire within a day or a month. Cookies expire as stated above.

Supplier information

Supplier names, addresses, phone numbers and emails shown in results come from public web pages and map listings. If you are a supplier and want a listing corrected or removed from our results, write to us.

Your choices

You can clear cookies at any time (the daily counter is also tied to a hashed IP address, so clearing cookies does not reset it). To ask what we hold about you, or to request correction or deletion, email info@forsuae.com. Because we do not know who you are, you may need to give us the approximate time and text of your search so we can find it.
